Further extracts from what the makers say about the current Regal RD-40VS model in the "Overview" on the Saga Music current website......
"Using our many years of experience in the development and construction of traditional American acoustic instruments, we have also discovered ways to improve upon the most legendary designs from the past without pricing them out of the reach of any level player.
Only the finest materials are used to create these designs reminiscent of the past, while still meeting the demands of today's modern players. The body shape takes its cues from instruments of the past; while the real secret to the tone of these instruments lies within.
It all starts with a combination of Regal exclusives such as the Tone Chamber for added volume, the Die-cast spider for its bell like response, and a hand-spun aluminum cone. All together work to assure the maximum, most articulate tone that can be heard in any playing situation."

Excellent condition....very clean with no significant making to body or fittings, only minor normal use.
Set-up.....Dobro Lap-Slide set-up - String height, with standard tall dobro nut @ 1st. fret is 12mm., @ 12th. fret is also 12mm.
Strings....Either Eagle Puretone Nickel Resophonic Slide Guitar or Newtone Michael Messer strings....Unusually I usually make a careful note of the stings fitted, but missed that this time, so could be Nickel wound versions of either of the types I use....gauge probably 16-56.
There is no case included with the guitar. I may have a period (more like '50s/'60s, than '30s!) pressed fibreboard case to fit, but old cases of this type, are not generally very robust or well-fitting, but a dedicated hard case with interior neck rest designed for dobro square neck may be more challenging to find.
