The Burns TR-2 is an iconic model from the range of guitars famously produced in London by Jim Burns in the '60s heyday, and used by many bands of the day....many others besides The Searchers & The Shadows. Thinline bodied, this was the first production guitar to include onboard battery-powered active volume-boost circuitry, referred to as "booster" at the time!
Always a good sign, I think, in relation to vintage guitars which had a short original production run, not that they weren't popular, or indeed didn't sell, but rather that the production costs, at the time, were too high to be sustainable.....indicative of the high-quality of the build, and fitted equipment!
Stock Number - VTGC1075.

The video I have embedded here, features some excellent playing, of a style probably not expected on a Burns, but no less fine for that, on a TR2 that appears to be in original form, whereas the first additional clip is a demo of three TR2s, but all with modified electrics. Second link is to the Blacks Guitars site referred to.
