Some, not all the restorations & repairs I have undertaken, with the aid of Colin Keefe, the luthier I work with, based in Long Eaton, Nottingham, for customer's on their vintage & modern guitars.

HARMONY H39 HOLLYWOOD 1960 Archtop Electric - Full restoration of customer's guitar, including supply & fit replacements for missing pickup, wiring harness, tone & volume controls/knobs etc., together with neck reset, re-fix, re-level & re-stain Maple fingerboard, re-paint block position markers, install new frets & re-lacquer, re-glue separating side seams, top & back, removing back to access, repair & reinforce crack, re-fix/glue back - for local gigging lady singer-songwriter - work commencing shortly, meantime pickup, to replace the original DeArmond Goldfoil, has been ordered from Aaron Armstrong at Armstrong Pickups, their slimline, fingerboard mounted model, with goldfoil voicing - http://www.armstrongpickups.co.uk/jazz-guitar-pickups/armstrong-pickup-5-tr/ with - guitar is same type as the one in Photo #5.

HARMONY SUPERTONE 203 1936 PARLOR GUITAR - Extensive restoration, Re-stabilising body, re-gluing braces, Neck reset, fingerboard removal, refixing & re-finish, complete re-fret, bridge alteration/adjustment, refit original tuners with vintage type ferrules/bushings, re-string with Martin Retro Monel strings, set-up with good low action. Completed October, 2019 - Photo #6. Customer feedback: "Just to let you know that I’m absolutely loving the guitar. It sounds great and now that I’m used to the neck shape and string spacing, I’m finding it easy to play. I can see why you are such an enthusiast about these types of instruments. Thanks for the work you did on mine."

MASURU KOHNO No.5 1968 CLASSICAL - Removed old/worn frets, re-levelled worn, but very nice Rosewood fingerboard, install new frets, re-string with La Bella 820 Red Flamenco strings & set-up with good, problem-free, low action - Completed for customer on Teeside June 2017 - Photo #3 - Customer Feedback - "Wow!!!. Thrilled and delighted with your work. Just one regret, wish I had known of you sooner and had the guitar work done years ago!"

MONTGOMERY WARDS VINTAGE USA c.1935 "HILL BILLY BAND SCENE" PARLOR GUITAR (See Photo) - Restoration & Partial rebuild, failed neck joint - remove fingerboard & neck, reset neck, glue on lining to stabilize very fragile fingerboard, re-fix fingerboard, remove original damaged frets, insert fillet & re-cut two fret slots originally out of position, re-level fingerboard, install new frets, stone & re-profile, adjust & re-fit original nut, bridge & tailpiece & set-up - Completed for local customer October 2014 - Photo #1.

OMI DOBRO - Repairs completed in conjunction with Colin Keefe, Luthier - Check Cone installation and setup generally for gigging Bluegrass player - Check neck join displacement - Remove existing cone, incorrectly glued & nailed into soundwell, damaged beyond further use, correctly re-position perch pole, make & fit new timber spacer block, correct position of perch pole support, fit replacement Beard cone supplied by customer, replace fingerboard dot inlays removed for access, re-assemble and setup - Completed for gigging local guitarist customer June 2015.

TAYLOR 712-C EARLY 1980s - very nice steel-string acoustic guitar - overhaul including frets stoned, re-profiled & polished, fingerboard dressed, nut slots & saddle adjusted to complete set-up - Completed for customer on Teeside March 2017 - Customer Feedback - "Arrived in fine condition Bob. Thank you for a good job, done."
